With a 500 to get the lion's share of attention, it was just too easy to forget the point. But the Fiat is more than one model, and so does the Abarth tuning division.

Grande Punto has been around since 2005 and was updated in 2009, Point, Evo, some improvised until his replacement arrives. Abarth Punto offers its own version of the Evo for those who find the 500 is too small or too good, and now has launched a version even more powerful performance in the Italian port.Instead of 165 horsepower turbo four in the existing version Punto Abarth esseesse Evo gets a brilliant 180, thanks to a revised ECU programming and turbocharger. The brakes are also improved, as well as springs, dampers and a set of wheel / tire. The result is a sprint of 7.5 seconds to 62 and 134 mph top end.
Best of all, changes in esseesse kit must be ordered and installed at the dealer up to one year after the car was purchased. Although the model was unveiled a year ago in Paris, it's only just hit the market. Read more about this in the press release after the jump.
